Sewer Cleaning and Relining

South West Pipe Relining will inspect, clean and reline sewer assets in southern areas of Deniliquin. Affected residents will be notified. Please watch out for trucks and crews working in your area.

Sewer Inspections May 2026

Edward River Council contractor South West Pipe Relining is carrying out maintenance and repairs to sewer pipes tin southern areas of Deniliquin o ensure we can continue to provide safe and reliable sewerage services. These works are scheduled to commence on 4 May 2026 and should be completed by the end of May, weather permitting. Standard work hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays.

The work includes:

inspecting sewer access points (manholes);

cleaning sewer pipes using low pressure jetting hoses;
inspecting sewer pipes with closed circuit television (CCTV);
inspecting sewer access points (manholes);
cleaning sewer pipes using low pressure jetting hoses;
inspecting sewer pipes with closed circuit television (CCTV); and
installing structural liners in sewer pipes.

If inspections are taking place on or near your property, you will have received a notification letter in your letterbox. Areas being inspected include:

Hussey Lane
Jameson St
Watson Ct
Wellington St
Between Harfleur St and Hetherington St
Corbett Ct
Mann St
Burchfield Ave
Henry St
Junction St
Charley St
Dick St

as well as areas in adjacent streets.

While the work is in progress there may be an increase in the number of trucks along nearby streets. There may also be restricted access to footpaths, roads and parking.

Contractor South West Pipe Relining has been engaged by Council to complete the cleaning and relining of our sewer assets in various location in the Deniliquin Township in 2024.

The following streets will be completed over the next few weeks:

Renwick Street
Johnston Street
Henry Street
Sloan Street

The contractor will give notice to all affected residents in advance to the works.
