    Council is in receipt of a Development Application DA2025/0056 for internal alterations and redevelopment of the Peppin Heritage Centre (State Heritage Item) for the purpose of a museum and gallery refurbishment at the abovementioned property. The site contains the Peppin Heritage Centre, the Deniliquin Visitor Information Centre and museum, and the ‘Crossing Café’ within the heritage listed building, noting no works are proposed to the Crossing Café component of the building located at 2-14 Napier Street DENILIQUIN NSW 2710 (Part Lot 473 DP 46236)

    This development is nominated integrated development and will require an approval from Heritage NSW under the Heritage Act 1977.

    Submissions must be made in writing, addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, and received by close of business on the specified closing date.

    Edward River Council Community Grants Program – Opens on Tuesday 1st July 2025

    Edward River Council is pleased to announce that applications for the 2025/26 Community Grants Program will open from Tuesday 1st July 2025.

    Community groups and not-for-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for grants of up to $3,000 to support events, projects, or equipment that promote a healthy lifestyle or help build a creative and inclusive community — enhancing the liveability of our Edward River region.

    Trickett Street Watermain Replacement

    Council will soon commence essential watermain replacement works along Trickett Street, between Edwardes Street and Napier Street.

    Works Start Date: Monday, 28 April 2025
    Estimated Completion: Friday, 23 May 2025

    These works are part of Council’s commitment to improve water service reliability in the area. The project includes excavation, new watermain installation, and restoration of the road and footpath.

    Traffic & Access Impacts:

    • Temporary traffic controls and detours will be in place.
    • Access to properties will be maintained where possible.
    • Local bus stop services may be temporarily relocated – updates will be provided.
    • Please follow signage and directions from traffic controllers.
